Otolith - So what the heck is an otolith?
So what the heck is an otolith?
The word "otolith" comes from two Greek roots: "otos" ear, and
"lithos" stone. It refers to a small piece of bone in the human inner
ear, more or less like a pebble in a small cavity lined with
sensitive hairs. As the small piece of bone rests in the cavity, it
presses on the hairs which correspond to the downward direction, and
provide a reference for "down" to the brain.
The otolith provides crucial information for the sense of balance. In
the same way, Otolith provides your
business with a balance of technical expertise and practical business
sense, a constant reference to the bottom line.
