Welcome to the journal of my travels in China! I spent the last
two weeks of October, 2000, at a conference in Beijing and traveling
cross country on a package tour.
These web pages include the journal entries I wrote while traveling,
and the pictures I took with my new digital camera.
I hope to have the pictures thumbnailed, the vertical ones oriented
correctly, and more pictures included from other people on the tour,
sometime soon. I will update the index page (which is this one you're
reading now) when this is done.
Update, 31 December
I have thumbnailed all the pictures, including the new special feature
on the hutongs. People with modem links can now cruise around without
fear of clogging your connection. There are more pictures coming,
from Lee's camera, I will include them when I can.
