Lots of things happened really fast today! The electrician came and
installed the new outlets and breakers, demolition was finished, and
all the plumbing done by five in the afternoon.
The story of getting the furnace to supply the hot water correctly, in
the first stages of the oncoming blizzard, will be written up
separately.

Kitchen stairwell, now with new insulation over the pipes and
wallboard going up.

Flex tubing in place in the kitchen closet and bathroom feeds. The
water path is a single loop, shaped like a capital T, with one arm
over in the kitchen and the other through bathroom and living room
into the office.

The electrics have been removed in the office, and the telephone
connecter has to be redone, yes I know the wiring is a kludge, I'll
fix it soon, promise...

Hangars for the hot water baseboards in place in the bathroom and
living room.

Bleeder tee at the end of the run, under the far office window.

Details of the hangars for the living room and bathroom sections.

Connections for the kitchen section run from the closet, where the
flex pipe comes up, to the baseboard under the kitchen window.
The early part of the day was very busy, I packed down the office
shelves and moved the desk and computer rack to a temporary island
space in the middle of the office (so as to leave access to the
baseboards all around) and that's where I'm typing this.
Warnings about the oncoming blizzard have been dire, but it hasn't
looked too bad so far. I've parked my van on the street to give the
guys more room to park in my parking lot, it'll be no problem if it
gets snowed in there temporarily. We'll see how it looks in the
morning.
